I have had more changing bags in the past 6 and a half years than I have ever had in handbags. There’s something seriously wrong with that situation. My most recent one is the JJ Cole Parker Changing Bag from TOMY in Citrus Breeze pattern.
Being a mum of three means that I have three little people to pack for each and every time I head out of my front door. Sometimes I’ll just pack a nappy or two and some milk into my handbag but more often than not I take a fully packed changing bag. I always like to be prepared but at the same time I am certainly not someone who packs everything but the kitchen sink into my bag. I keep things to a minimum because quite frankly I only have two hands for three children and I’m 4ft 8in tall so big heavy bags are just not practical.
The JJ Cole Parker Changing Bag has enough space for everything. I love it’s more neutral pattern and the very handy stroller grips which are rubbery and can secure the bag in place over your handlebars are just so perfect. The changing bag is rather large in width but is very slim making it fantastic for a weekend away or for using every day. The bag has 10 organisation pockets altogether, although it doesn’t have an inside zip up pocket which I’ve been quite disappointed about for holding things like sanitary pads or headache tablets. It also comes with a very pretty changing mat although it isn’t padded at all, it is made from a fabric you can wipe like the rest of the bag.
I’ve created a video of what I take with me on a day to day basis. I was interrupted a few times as it’s now the school summer holidays.
- 4/5 Nappies
- 1 pack of wipes
- 1 toddler nappy
- 1 set of clothes for P3 and a change of underwear/trousers for P2
- Bottom cream
- My purse, keys, a pen, business cards and phone
- 1 pot of raisins, or biscuits or similar
- Crayons for P1 and P2
- 1 bottle of juice
- Baby milk, depending on the length of time we are out will depend on how many I take
- I like to take my vaseline lip balm too as I’m prone to dry lips
The JJ Cole Parker Changing Bag costs £54.99 which is sort of middle price range for a changing bag I think. I definitely think it is worth this amount.
