My eldest is struggling academically. I never thought she would. When she was at nursery she was flourishing but going to school changed her. Her writing is falling well behind what it should be and so when Twinkl got in touch I was really excited about having some interesting new resources to hand to help my 7 year old bloom again. But actually we found so much more than just the standard worksheets for learning.
Twinkl’s website is arranged into categories; sections for schools, childminders, home education and the list goes on. Being a parent I naturally headed to the “Parents” section to be greeted with so many downloadable ideas and useful resources. The Birth To Twos section is particularly fantastic because it has nap charts, handy check lists to print, tips for potty training and play dough recipes that are so imaginative!
There’s also a really handy tool to create your own resources and fun. It’s so simple to use and has loads of features like images and words to include. You can change colours and patterns, completely customising to your limit.
I have really enjoyed printing various activities for all three of my girls to enjoy. I have a little pack of all the spellings P1 needs to learn for KS1 and she’s been really improving, P2 has a really fun matching alphabet game and I’ve made a frog inspired natural play dough for P3.
You can get Gold Membership for as little as £2.50 a month. The Platinum Membership has 3 different options depending on what you are looking for out of Twinkl and costs £3.99 a month. Or for full Twinkl access the Platinum Plus costs £5.84 a month. Twinkl is very affordable and is full of inspiring content.
