To Princess 1,
This morning on our walk to school I told you that you were officially 5 and a half years old! It confused you a bit and sparked conversations about how many days until you’d be 6. The walk to school was refreshing, it was the only part of the
day week month that you haven’t been rude to me and it reminded me of that wonderful little person I once knew.
You’re behaviour doesn’t seem to be a phase that’s fading quickly and quite frankly Mummy and Daddy are at a loss. We don’t know what to do or say anymore. We’ve tried our absolute best to reason rather than shout, but even this approach doesn’t seem to get any rewards. You just don’t want to listen or when you do you give me a rude remark. It’s not even just a bedtime thing anymore, it’s a constant thing that’s so exhausting.
You’ve had four weeks of school swimming lessons though. Today was your last one until next year. I’ve been told by your teacher Mrs K that you’ve been doing really well once you get over the initial fear at the start. There hasn’t been any issues with getting you dressed either which is fantastic and I’m so pleased!
It’s crazy to think that in just a few weeks time we’ll be in the summer holidays and then you’ll be in year 1!! I also wanted to apologise to you because I suddenly realised that you won’t have a “Reception Class” year photo. With the transfers in school half way through you missed both school year photos. I’m really upset actually but will make sure you get every year from now on!
I really want your behaviour to improve now sweet heart because it’s upsetting us all including you!
Love Mummy x
