I still remember being around 7 or 8 years old and being completely dazzled by the Millennium Dome. My mum had arranged for us to visit at some point during the year when the Millennium Experience was there. I’ve only been there once more since and that was a rushed visit so when I was invited to return, I just couldn’t refuse.
We were invited along to the Sky Studios at The O2 to experience a kids TV themed play and crafts to celebrate the new Sky Kids App. The Sky Studios was opened up an hour before the public especially for press and bloggers so we had the place to ourselves nearly which made things a lot more relaxed. The studios were so incredibly bright. On the first level there was the option to take your photo with different kids TV themed backgrounds. There’s also a Sky News room where you can read the news or weather report which was very realistic.
The very top floor was our favourite part though. It was so interactive with walls that could be pressed and tablets to test out the new Sky Kids App on. I actually loved the app, it seemed so bright and easy to navigate. P1 even gave it a seal of approval. The app was designed with children and I think you can really tell. Of course you have to be a Sky TV customer but the app showcases all the children’s channels in one place with loads of safety features like filtering for certain ages and there’s even the option to have different profiles if you have more than one child in the household.
We had a really lovely morning at The O2. It was very chilled and the girls really loved running about and taking part in all the TV themed activities inside the Sky Studios. Over half term Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol came out to greet all the guests, we were lucky enough to get to meet Marshall which the girls were so thrilled about. P2 went running up to him with great open arms for a big hug. It was so cute!
I filmed our morning as I feel quite passionately about documenting our lives whilst the girls are really young. You can see by their faces just how much they enjoyed our trip to London. They loved being inside the huge dome and even going to lunch in a cafe. Here’s my video:
