As a woman you will be familiar with a brassiere, also known as a boulder holder, aka a bra! From that very first bra you buy that’s just a little bit of cotton fabric to give you some dignity at P.E changes during puberty, to ones that push your fully grown boobs up into your chin. The majority of us girls/women wear a bra. One pregnancy highlight is the changing of your boobies. Once you get past that really painful stage where the growing and stretching seems to happen over night, we are left with a pretty awesome chest area.
It’s important during pregnancy to wear the correct size bra and also the right type. Wires are a big no-no! Hormones are the cause to the big boobies, they help to prepare our bodies to naturally feed our babies when they arrive so it’s very important, if you know you will breastfeed, to take care of them and give your ladies the right amount of space to expand. After getting sized by a professional, for the first time since I was 16, it became quite clear why my beautifully blossomed bosoms have a pretty wonderful cleavage lately. I’ve gone up two cup sizes! So you can imagine how grateful I was to receive the Spring Blossom Nursing Bra by Royce Lingerie.
The Spring Blossom nursing bra has the clip on the bra strap which allows you to pull down the cup and expose your breast to your baby without removing your bra. It has an elasticated strap that keeps the rest of your bra in place. The clips are easy to undo with one hand which is something I struggled with during P2s breastfeeding days.
The Spring Blossom has no under wiring and is lightly padded with a foam support panel around the sides of the cup and underneath. The fabric is very soft and the pattern is really feminine.
Each bra size is designed to fit three cup sizes (For example; 32C/D/DD, 34C/D/DD) and are sized from a 32 – 40, with cup sizes of a C-H. It also has four positions of hook fastenings which gives optimal room for the varying sizes when breastfeeding. Behind the centre is a hidden drawstring that allows you to pull for a more traditional bra shape or release to give full coverage or to be used as a night bra. This means that the Spring Blossom bra is suitable and comfortable to be worn throughout the day and night.
The one thing that was most important to me when trying this bra on was the armpit coverage. With my previous pregnancies I just couldn’t find a bra that didn’t rub my underarms and make me completely agitated and uncomfortable – the Spring Blossom bra does not do this! This along with the comfort and flexibility it offers are the reasons why I give Royce Lingerie a huge pat on the back and a thumbs up for creating the most comfortable nursing bra I’ve ever seen!!
