To my Princess 2,
I’ve been a little emotional this month as we’ve counted down the days until your 2nd birthday. These two years have gone ridiculously quick but it feels like such a long time ago that you were that podgy little baby at the hospital.
You have such an amazing character. You’ve always been so hilarious in the things you do and the faces you pull, but now you are talking more and more each day the things you say are cracking us up too!
I think that this next year and turning two means so many big changes in your life. Naturally you are going to communicate better, grow taller and develop. But this year we’ve got a few things to tick off in some habits I’ve allowed you to continue for two years. Milk and dummy. It’s going to be difficult but we always said at two we would stop the dummy and reduce the milk intake you have. To be honest I have no idea how we’ll go about either and I’m predicting a lot of tears from both of us.
As you turn two you are using a potty or the toilet at home. You’ve been doing this for a few weeks now. It all came at a bit of a surprise to us as you insisted wearing your new knickers. I’ve been super proud of you though. You’ve still got to learn how to pull up/down your own knickers and trousers and we’ve got to be brave enough to go out without a pull up. But we’ll get there. You’re only two after all!!
I’m actually a little bit scared. Two seems such a big age but I’m sure you’ll conquer it with great passion!
We’ve had a lovely simple day today. We went to indoor soft play and then to feed the ducks. We’ve arranged a family party tomorrow and then Great-Grandad on Sunday.
I love you and Happy Birthday!!
