It’s been one heck of a day especially this evening. Christmas is fast approaching and with that comes all the emotions of my Nan not being here.
This Saturday I’m spending the day with my family in Essex. Having a sort of fake Christmas as we’ll be in Kent on the 25th. I’m scared of what it’s going to feel like with Nan not there. I’m barely coping on the lead up to it let alone the actual time we “celebrate” Christmas as a family. My Mum put on her Facebook earlier that although we lost a hand for our generation picture, we gained another and that’s totally true. I took comfort in it actually.
When hubby came home from Tesco this evening, he literally threw the bags at me and I was about to go loopy when I realised he was actually in pain. He basically fell onto the sofa. Before I’d met him, my hubby had a motorbike accident and damaged his back. This has caused him random jip but recently he’s been in more pain than normal. Tonight has been a little scary to be honest. I had to attempt to support all 6ft 2in of him the best I could for a 4ft 8in woman – it was not easy! To get him up to bed to rest.
I then had to juggle bedtime for P2 and get P1 her dinner cooked. It was already after 7pm!! I then had to read the school books with P1 and get her into bed quietly enough not to wake her little sister up. Which is where it all went drastically tits up!
Typically, P1 disobeyed literally everything I asked and ended up waking her little sister. Mummy Monster erupted, the girls cried, hubby tried to get out of bed to help but ended up screaming in pain, so I then told him off too. Eventually, hubby in bed, girls sound asleep and I have sat in peace and quiet downstairs with icecream and chocolate!
