To My Princess 3,
I’ve decided to write to you every 6 months from this letter onwards. I’ll just have to remember to note down when you did everything to update you all at once.
You have been in this world twice the amount of time you were growing in my belly. It’s crazy when I think about that. This milestone is always a big one for some reason, 6 weeks, 6 months, 1 year and now 18 months.
At 18 months you have four top teeth fully through, three and a half at the bottom, plus four molars (one on each side) starting to make their appearances. You weigh 10.3kg and wear 12-18 month clothes although some are still quite big.
You are communicating with us so well. I was asked how many words you know and I didn’t know the answer because you just talk if that makes sense. I’m pretty sure you are putting a few words together at some points to let us know what you want.
One thing I am noticing more and more as you grow is your strong bond and possessiveness towards me. You are a mummy’s girl through and through. In some situations you cling hold of me for protection, or you’ll look at me with a worried expression saying “mummy” when someone else hugs you. The times when I can really sense the possessive side is when another child comes close to me or sits with me, including your sisters, you’ll start shouting “no mummy” or “away”.
You are sleeping so much better recently. Going into a big bed seems to have sorted your sleeping pattern. Some nights you’ll wake once others not at all. However, you are an early rise sometimes as early as 5am but usually it’s 6am. You eat pretty much everything especially Pot Noodles, pizza and strawberries.
I am so excited for the next 6 months but it’s a little scary to think you’ll be 2 years old when I next write to you. Currently you have such a bold personality and you know exactly what you want. I like to think you are happiest when you are in my arms, I hope you are.
I love you. Carrying on growing bold and beautiful.
Love Mummy x
