For some very odd reason fire stations, and fire engines have been appearing in our life; P2 had a lesson at nursery about them and P1 went on a little visit to the local one with school this week. So it was quite a happy coincident to get the LEGO Duplo Fire Station delivered to our house.
The LEGO Duplo Fire Station come with 2 firefighter figures; one boy and one girl, bricks to create the Fire Station building with 2 garages and 2 vehicles: a fire truck with retractable hose and a fire car with moving ladder. There is also a fire-bell-decorated brick, a wrench, a flame, an axe and a water hydrant.
I have never built a LEGO Duplo set before, it’s usually Hubby that gets his hands dirty, but he handed the reins over to me. To follow the brilliantly illustrated instruction manual to build the LEGO Duplo Fire Station. It was very easy to make if you forget the little hands grabbing bits off of me. I actually love the idea of having a proper set for the girls to play with rather than bricks they just put together to build a huge tower.
The LEGO Duplo Fire Station costs around £44.99. Although P3 keeps completely destroying it, P2 really enjoys playing with the fire truck and I love watching her face light up when I put it all back together for her. This set would make a really lovely gift for a boy or girl for Christmas.
