Hubby and I have agreed that in 2014 hubby will be doing the morning duties for the girls every Saturday and Sunday. Today was the first day as Friday night had been a late one getting our business basically ready for launch – he was awake till 3am!! Hubby was up at 8am with the girls getting them breakfast and playing whilst I snored all the way until 9:30am! It was amazing. I haven’t had a lay in for goodness knows how long and I’m definitely looking forward to next Saturday. We then spent the day in Essex with my Grandad. It was a little emotional I have to say as I wanted to borrow/take some of my Nan’s old sewing thread so it lead to me sorting through her sewing box and finding so many cards from back when she was a child! Mother’s Day cards from my Mum to her. Anniversary cards from my Grandad. Postcards from her mum and dad, my mum, my Auntie and from Grandad. But it was quite interesting sorting it all out and I hope I helped Grandad and I’ve actually gained the whole sewing box full of threads, needles and a tin of buttons.
Enough of the depressing things, we’ve had a great day. A yummy roast dinner, a walk/ride to the park and we dug out three of my old school nativity plays and watched those!! Definitely a wonderful Sunday.
Unfortunately it’s now back to school for P1 tomorrow. Up bright and early. I’m quite looking forward to it in a way, having some sort of routine back but I think it’s going to take some adjusting to!
