This is the first year in my whole entire life that I haven’t been with my Mum, Nan and Grandad on Christmas! After the mad unwrapping session with the girls this morning I think it really hit me. So much has changed this past year, the biggest and worst change of all was the loss of my Nan.
She was always the one who did the Christmas shopping (Grandad was the one to pay) so this year it wasn’t a surprise when Grandad gave us money. Obviously I’m very grateful for that, but it’s just the little things that really make a difference.
I got married this year so in a way I’m a proper adult now and with that comes several Christmas’ in several places. I had my “Christmas Day” round my Mums and we’ve had many gatherings with family members. This morning we spent Christmas, our first one, as a real family at home.
We opened presents and then made our way round to my MiLs for Christmas dinner, games and more present opening. It’s actually been a really wonderful day. It’s made me get rather excited for next year and I’ve got loads of plans for it. Just another 364 days to wait…
Thank you to absolutely everyone that has wished us a Merry Christmas and have given us some pretty amazing presents this year. We have been truly spoilt. We’ll be snuggling down on our new bed topper tonight… I apologise for the bombardment of photos the past few days, as you all know my blog is like my diary.
Merry Christmas to all my doting readers!
