#BEDN – 2 – Love Mondays

I think Monday has to be one of my favourite days of the week at the moment. Monday’s used to be one of the worst, it was either back to school for me and then it was back to work after a weekend but since being a stay at home mum to a school goer, Monday’s are about getting a little break from parenting three and just parenting two.

BEDN TWO

Recently, we made the decision for P2 to start nursery two days a week. She started her nursery career in September and now goes Monday and Wednesday mornings. So I only have one baby to care for two mornings a week which is so lovely. But the reason I love Monday’s more than Wednesday’s is because we do absolutely nothing on a Monday.

BEDN 2

Monday mornings are when I can be most productive on my blog, on the housework and other chores. We don’t go out or plan anything to do because I love to just sit in my jammies and enjoy the company of P3. Sometimes, when Hubby works from home, we will use Monday mornings to go food shopping or out for breakfast. It probably sounds really silly that by doing nothing special would become a favourite day of mine. I am sure that as P3 grows, starts properly walking and communicating we will venture outside on a Monday morning and it’ll be our mummy-daughter time but for now she’s quite content with being my little housework buddy.

  1. Lovely photos, we have a meeting with a nursery this friday for Clem. I’m both excited and nervous about her going. #marvmondays

How did your meeting go? Nursery definitely helped my eldest and is gradually boosting confidence of P2 too.

  2. Lovely photos. Love the one of your little on sat with all the autumn leaves.

  3. Nursery was a great experience for my little one. She is all grown up now. This is the first time I’ve seen your blog. Nice to read it! Angela from daysinbed

  4. Awww this is so cute. I agree that staying at home and having nothing planned is a good day. My daughter is in daycare Monday-Friday while I am at work, but I secretly love when her daycare is closed and I get to stay home with her. That’s when we make the most memories!

  5. Yay, so I am not alone in my love of Mondays, most people just don’t get it.
Like you to me Monday’s mean I get a bit more time, time for me, not just Mum and slave at my 4 children’s beck and call constantly.
I sometimes have so many plans, but like this Monday, it was the return after the weekend and I ended up not doing very much, which was bliss.
You wait until P3 goes too, then it will be a tiny bit of heaven, not that we don’t love our children, but just that we are entitled to some self time.

(I too am joining in with BEDN)

I have no idea what I’ll do. I’ll end up sitting watching crappy tv and sitting on my bum. Or I’ll be out having coffee mornings.

  6. I think a ‘do nothing’ day is a fantastic idea!!! I need one!

  7. I’m with you in having productive Monday’s I think it’s down to having the day before to get housework done.

  8. How handy! I only have 1 little man at the moment but I always think about when we have 2 and how it would be nice to have at least a couple of mornings with one of them in nursery to give you time alone with the little one! A seems to absolutely love the interaction too so it does them good! Thanks so much for linking up to #MarvMondays. Kaye xo

  9. Awww i love the photos!! Monday is my worst day as my other half goes back to work after a weekend off and its just me and the girls! xxx

  10. I think everyone should have a least one ‘do nothing day’ in their week. My daughter started nursery in September (two mornings a week) and I use those mornings to catch up with house work, blog stuff and just generally have a bit of me time. Its been really good for us both as a happy mum = happy baby. xx

  11. That sounds like a great day, I wish I was home Monday’s but it is work – booooo xx
    Gorgeous photos xx

  12. It’s sounds like you’ve got it sussed making monday your most relaxed/stress free day as I’m often dreading it coming around as my husband leaves for three days working away. x

I couldn’t cope with a hubby that worked away. I’m so lucky that he works from home the majority of the time.

  13. Aww Cute photos – starting nursery is a big step! my little one hasn’t been going long! Thanks for sharing #MarvMondays
