I have been so out of touch with children’s telly since having children which I now sounds completely ridiculous. When my little brother was born in 2000 I became in tune with the programmes and now they are all being renewed and spruced up.
Bob The Builder is one of the characters who have had a makeover. I was all ready to say that it’s a brand new makeover but actually he’s had his new look for about a year now and I’ve just been hidden under a rock of princesses thinking they’d not enjoy a builder related programme.
Egmont has released the new Bob The Builder Magazine and it’s a stunner. It’s packed with fun things to do. P1 especially loved the colouring and stories, with P2 enjoying listening to her sister read and looking at the bright images. The magazine is tailored for children aged 3-5 years with really engaging content, my girls are slightly below and above this age range but thoroughly enjoyed the magazine. It came with an activity book and toy hammer which they’ve equally loved playing with.
I have made a little video that shows the magazine in more detail. It costs £2.99 per issue and I honestly think it’s worth that too. Children get so much more from this magazine as there are pages where you can actually build things just like Bob The Builder would in the programmes.
Do you remember the old Bob?
