Nonabox January 2015 Review

I’m pretty excited that the Nonabox have allowed me to review again this year. There’s nothing that beats the element of surprise each month and I have to be honest that my hubby has started to rush to the package to see what’s inside.

January’s Nonabox has been slightly disappointing again if I’m completely honest. It’s not that the products aren’t lovely, they’re just not very useful for us. I’m not breastfeeding and I’m not overly bothered by stretch mark cream. Obviously I know this isn’t the fault of Nonabox… More my own preference.

So as always, the Nonabox arrived in the very handy box. Inside there was:

Magic Inkless Print Kit from Smallprints (£11.99) – I love these. It’s a fab keepsake. I’d love to be able to afford to order some jewellery but I think the prints will have to go inside their boxes. I’ll have to try to get three sets though, it’s made for 2 hand and 2 foot prints.

Tummy Rub Stretch Mark Butter from Mama Mio (I couldn’t find this exact product but I’m guessing at around £10) – This smells lovely and the texture is nice. It doesn’t leave you feeling oily or uncomfortable. The tummy rub is designed to

Washable Breast Pads from Bravado (we were given 1 set, a pack of 6 cost £9.50) – I’m not breastfeeding anymore but I did use washable pads with P2. They were fab and saved so much money and time. I only had to wear one for the duration of the day as they were really absorbent. Very gentle on your boobies too which is great if you experience sore and cracked nipples.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil (£9.99 for 150ml) – I love Palmer’s. I’ve always been quite comfortable with the stretch marks I’ve grown over the three pregnancies, but to be honest I would quite like to use this to help with my tummy area as I’m toning it back up. It does leave you a little oily.

Child’s Farm Hair & Body Wash (£2.50 for 100ml) – I’ve never heard of this brand. That’s one fab thing about the Nonabox I suppose. You get the chance to try out new brands and products. I love that this is a hair AND body wash. It smells delicious and has been thoroughly tested, it is gentle for those who suffer from Eczema.

MAM Soother (£5.15 for pack of 2) – This was our first soother for P3. She’s a very particular child and will only have MAM bottles so having the MAM soothers is great too. You can never have too many soothers in this house!

Nonabox is a subscription box. You’ll usually expect to receive 6-9 little goodies that will always beat the subscription cost each month of £24.95. I’ve had boxes that I’ve been super excited about and others that have left me a little deflated but one thing that remains the same is that we’ve been able to enjoy finding out about new brands.

I also love reusing the boxes for various things, mainly P3s clothes, however this months has been used to store those random bits of anything and everything that gets left on the kitchen worktop. We’ve also used one to store farm animals.

  1. Great review. I’ve just received my January Nona and a little disappointed too. The print kit is nice but the rest just seem like freebie samples, not a patch on previous boxes 🙁

  2. The print kit sounds great – glad that there is no mess.
