I should probably apologise to you all for the influx of underwear shots on my blog lately but I’ve been really lucky and able to review some fantastic nursing underwear ready for P3s arrival.
I’m so fussy when it comes to underwear, nursing or otherwise, so I’m glad I’ve had the opportunity to find out what I like and dislike from three different companies. The latest that I was sent was the new Lorna Drew Catherine Midnight Nursing Bra and Briefs set.
On first impressions this bra has the main box ticked of being a padded bra. It features the drop down cup that’s fastened with a clip perfect for making breastfeeding simple, I do find this clip a little stiff to use at the moment but that could be because it’s new. The Catherine Nursing Bra also features something I haven’t seen on a nursing bra before, the ability to adjust the size of the elasticated strap that’s under the drop down cup, this allows you to get a really close and comfortable fit around the cup. It’s also great for when your boobs expand and reduce during feeding.
The bra is slightly see-through at the back and features a lovely lace trim around the edges.
The shorts will certainly be more comfortable to wear after pregnancy. The shorts have a cute little bow on both the front and back. The attention to detail in the frilly lace is a lovely touch. I think they are a little more “me” compared to other nursing/maternity underwear that I’ve tried recently.
One thing I’ve noticed with the Catherine set and also other Lorna Drew underwear, is that it is very feminine and makes breastfeeding much more attractive. I can see the underwear really giving a woman confidence during breastfeeding.
The Catherine Nursing Bra cost £35 and the Briefs are £16. I actually think the bra is well worth the money as it’s so pretty and unique. The Catherine set also comes in Champagne which is a more natural colour.
(I was sent this product free of charge for the purpose of this review. All opinions and photos are of my own)
