“Life is really slow at the moment”

DSC_0074

Life has been really slow since Christmas. Blogging has become more difficult since getting my new camera. I used to post spontaneously and whenever something came to my mind but I really want to add decent photos so I have to draft a post during the day, and add the pictures at the end of the day. Confusing!!!

P1 is spending until Tuesday with my Mum and today we’ve noticed a real change in P2. She seems lost. The poor little mite has been clingy onto our legs all day, not bothered by her mountains of toys and just wanting comfort. It’s either teething or the fact she doesn’t have her big sister to play with today.

P2 normally plays with her sister non-stop, attacking P1 for her pens/pencils and generally being a nuisance really but P1 is so good with her. Recently, they’ve formed such a close bond, yes they still argue and P2 pulls P1s hair, but they’re sisters after all. P2 was looking around for her constantly today and especially at bedtime where she usually looks over at her big sisters bed and then gets a quick cuddle before bedtime for them both. It’s little things that I didn’t think a nearly 11month old would understand.

P2 mastered using a sippy cup all by herself today and spent most of the afternoon perfecting it. Our life has slowed down in regards to events or going out, but P2 is speedier than ever with all her developments. We’ve just got to master the crawling and we’ll be waving a sad goodbye to our little baby and saying hello to a ever-growing independent toddler. That’s scary!

We took the tree down and all the decorations today. They’d been up since November and I’m quite frankly sick of the sight of them. P2 conquered her fear of tinsel though and sat playing with it happily enough for me to remove all the baubles from the tree safely until she decided the tree looked quite sturdy for her to use to stand up. Luckily I had my camera out and watched her slowly pull it onto herself. Don’t worry no tears were shed. She simply looked at it in a confused “Why did you fall on me?” expression.
DSC_0314That’s about as exciting as my life gets right now. I can’t believe in under a weeks time my blog is turning a year old!!! Watch out for a competition that goes along with the anniversary.
