I think I’m actually addicted to sugary junk food. My diet and Juice Plus journey goes really well when we haven’t been shopping for a while, when the snack drawer is low and there’s nothing tempting my appetite. As soon as we go shopping and stock up on the biscuits and cereal bars for the girls I find myself delving in and sneaking a biccie here and there. It’s awful and I only end up feeling guilty afterwards.
Since doing some research on healthy eating and burning fat for my inch loss journey (I’m calling it inch loss because quite frankly I don’t actually need to lose weight) I’ve started to think about what I’m putting into my mouth and into my body. More importantly my hubby’s mouth and my girls! It’s not like we don’t buy fruit or eat a varied diet the majority of the time, for me I’ve started to notice just how much of our diet is convenience food. Like frozen pies or chicken nuggets, chips and a ready meal lasagne for example.
I’m really excited about tomorrow. I’ve finally got hubby on board with the meal plan I’ve created with the help of Annabel Karmel’s Family Cookbook. We have a food delivery arriving that we ordered online. I’m an online food shopper whereas hubby loves to trapes around the shop figuring out what deal is best and I think we’ve only ever ordered online once or twice in the three years I’ve known him! So tomorrow is a big achievement.
I plan to share some of the recipes with you as I cook them as I have some great snack ideas and meals lined up that I’m cooking from scratch and freezing/storing. For the first time ever I feel like a real woman and this is going to give me great practise for when P3 starts weaning.
Here’s a sneak peak of my meal plan. The food I’ve ordered is enough for double portions so I can freeze.
