“I think I wouldn’t be as worried if she was actually being sick”

20140122-095427 am.jpgMy big lady is off school again. It started Monday evening. She was tired, has been for over a week, and refused to eat. She managed half a sausage for her dinner. On Tuesday morning she woke at 6am complaining of feeling sick which I put down to being hungry. I tried to get her to eat her breakfast but she wouldn’t, managing just a small Fromage frais, and was rather tired.

I sent her to school anyway in hope that she’d perk up there. When I collected her yesterday afternoon she was still sleepy and the teacher said despite a lot of persuasion P1 hadn’t eaten a thing at lunch. I got her home and tried to force some wheetabix down her by saying she wouldn’t be allowed down from the table until she did. She managed half.

Come dinner, she was still sleepy and saying she felt sick. It was a real struggle to get her to eat the very small portion we’d given her – chicken potatoes and baked beans. All things she usually loves! She ended up sat on my lap whilst I attempted to feed her extremely slowly. And she was asleep in bed by 6:30 – very unusual.

Last night P1 was awake from 3-4am. Complaining of feeling sick. She had cuddles, a couple of biscuits and we huddled on the bathroom floor, just in case she was sick. Eventually she went back to bed. But this morning she’s the same; tired, not eating and feeling sick. I think I wouldn’t be as worried if she was actually being sick! Or had a temperature. At least I’d know roughly that she has a bug of some sort.

We’re awaiting a call back from the doctor. I just want her back to normal and so does P2 who can’t quite grasp the fact that P1 doesn’t feel up to playing today!20140122-095436 am.jpg Please vote for me in the UK Blog Awards 2014 in the following two categories: (voting closes on 26th January 2014) Young Persons Award (18-25)
