It is always nice to let your loved ones know that you are thinking of them and how much you appreciate them. One of the best ways to do this is to buy them an unexpected present.
For your female friends and family members, it is really easy to come up with ideas, but for the men in my life, I sometimes struggle. Over the years, I have come up with a few favourites, which tend to work. So, knowing that a lot of you have the same issue, I have decided to share them with you, below.
A pair of jeans
This first idea is a bit off the wall, but I promise you that it is nonetheless a good one. Most men wear jeans. The majority, have a favourite brand and cut, so buying a pair of those makes a fantastic gift. As you can see from this range of men’s jeans there are plenty of options. If money is tight, you can always buy an unbranded pair. They may not get worn for day´s out, but will almost certainly be used for walking the dog and doing jobs around the house.
Other clothing gifts
In fact, clothes can actually make very good gifts for men. You need to pay attention to what they are wearing at the moment and buy accordingly. It is wise, to ask for a gift receipt when you buy clothing as a gift. That way, if it does not fit, or it is not to their taste, it is easy for them to exchange the item.
Men really enjoy gadgets. Again, you do not have to spend a fortune. There are plenty of innovative style gadgets that are both useful and fun.
Hobby related gifts
Most men have some sort of hobby. Buying a gift that is related to something that interests them shows you know them well and have taken the time to come up with a present they will really like.
Subscriptions can make very good gifts. There are many options, including magazine, fan club, sporting venue and entertainment subscriptions. For a man who loves football, three months access to the right sports channel can make a fantastic gift.
A lot of men like to be active and are always looking for excitement. For this kind of man, experience days make excellent gifts. There are hundreds to choose from. Everything from hot air balloon rides, to mountain biking taster days. They are a fantastic way to get your man up and out again if he has turned into a bit of a couch potato.
If you are still stuck vouchers can work really well. Just make sure that they are for a retailer that you know they like. This makes it more likely that they will actually use them. It also shows that you have put some thought into the gift and tried to buy them something that they will actually enjoy using.
We all lead busy lives, so without realising it we can easily end up not spending much time with our husband, father or sons. One of the nicest things you can do for them is to set aside a morning, or day, and do something together. It need not cost a lot of money to do so. There are over 100 low-cost ideas, here. Not all of them will work for you, but there are bound to be a few that do.
