My Dream Horse With Petplan Equine

As a child I was desperate to have my own horse. I’d research ways I could keep one in my parent’s back garden, yes I’m being serious. I was lucky enough to have riding lessons from the stables next to my Grandad’s allotment and I loved it. But like most things as a child, my phase soon turned to ice skating.

However, I am really excited to relive one of my childhood hobbies within my daughters. P2 and P3 both ride weekly now, unfortunately P1 struggles to find the strength needed at the moment so I decided she would be the perfect one to design her own Dream Horse with the Petplan Equine Horse insurance campaign.

She took no encouragement to get stuck in with her colouring equipment. There was also no surprise that she’d create a Minecraft related horse. She kept reminding me that it must have straight sides and be “blocky”. Unicorns seem to be quite popular in my house hold at the moment and even P1 decided to have the wings and horn for her perfect pet.

Seeing as P1 is nearly nine years old, we had a little discussion about what it takes to be a great horse owner. Petplan Equine have many different insurance options even options for older horses too. They have many policies that you are able to tailor to your own individual needs and they are one of the only equine insurers that offer lifetime cover. P1 and I talked about the different things that could go wrong when you own a horse and the importance of making sure you are responsible.

Petplan also work with more animal rehoming charities than any other pet insurance provider! What a fantastic statement to be able to say. In fact they have worked with more than 1,200 charities throughout the UK and in 1994, formed the Petplan Charitable Trust which has so far raised more than £7million towards a better, healthier world for animals.

After completing her Dream Horse picture, including adding the dreaded glitter, we sent it across to the team at Petplan Equine. They then transformed P1s minecraft unicorn into a real life soft toy for her. She was so excited to find the beautiful drawstring bag awaiting her and even more excited to pull the unicorn out.

This guy or girl, I’m not actually sure, has gone everywhere with her since it arrived. Even to school. I love how it is completely unique and I think she really appreciates just how special it is. This is exactly why it’s really important to make sure our beloved pets are covered and looked after in the best way possible and Petplan Equine make this so easy. There’s really no excuse.

Disclosure: This post has been possible thanks to Petplan Equine. It is a collaborative post however all content is of my own.
