Children’s Amazing! Magazine Review

Home learning is a thing I struggle with every single day with P1. I’m sure you can relate to it because I certainly can, that when you get home you just want to chill out. Learning and doing something educational certainly isn’t a priority. I was pretty interested when the people behind the children’s magazine, Amazing! got in touch to see if we wanted to take a look at it.

Amazing! is a children’s subscription magazine that is focused for children aged 6-11 years. It follows along with the National Curriculum and each magazine covers Maths, English, Science, History, Geography, Literature, Health, Art and Design, Poetry and Personal Skills too. Amazing! is 36 pages long and each issue is numbered rather than dated meaning they can be looked through as many times over a huge period of time.

We received issue 33 which is titled Awesome Oceans and is jam packed with facts and fun activities all to do with oceans. I gave P1 this book just after she’d finished her Brownies session instead of using her iPad. She began to read and on quite a few occasions I heard her saying “wow that’s cool”. Amazing! has some excellently bold and bright illustrations which really captures your eye. There’s cool stories and fun quizzes inside the book.

We had a great time reading this and learning about Oceans together. I am super excited to announce that the lovely people at Amazing! Magazine have offered one of my readers a chance to win a 12 month subscription to the magazine. All you have to do is fill in the rafflecopter below!! Good luck. You have until the end of July 2017.
