Honesty – The Best Policy

Honesty is the best policy… I don’t cope very well in the evenings if I haven’t napped at least once during the day. To top it off I’m having more energy during the day and struggle to fall asleep for the nap I need to carry me through the evenings! Last night was another bad night – not entirely P2s …

Today will mark the beginning of Fairtrade Fortnight where organisations and charities aim to raise the profile of Fairtrade. Why not ensure that you buy one more Fairtrade item in your next shopping basket? Welcoming Warmth

I managed it into church today. On arrival; we (P2 and I) were greeted with so many friendly familiar faces. The church itself hasn’t changed but there was so many new people – although new people that seemed to know my parents. P2 was bombarded with pokes and prods from all different ages. She ended up getting quite frustrated I …

Cluster Feed

I experienced a “cluster feed” last night. P2 fed for about two hours with little breaks. She then followed on with a rubbish night sleep. I received a leaflet from the hospital advising that as long as strict guidelines were followed, it’s absolutely fine to co sleep with a breastfed baby. I don’t think so… I need my sleep… Proper …

Who could you ‘grab a cuppa’ with today? Seize the moment this weekend and invite someone new for a coffee or to your house for tea and cake. I’m A Master At Multi-Tasking

Today has been a bad day. Is it too late to blame something on a baby brain?? I decided to cook some garlic bread last night… Garlic bread that had been in the fridge for nearly two weeks. Yup I know – gross. Although at the time nothing seemed wrong with it. Until I spent most the night feeling so …

40 Acts – Day 9 – Get Together

It’s simple. Invite your friends over, order a curry and spend an evening catching up. I like this one. This one I can do. Yesterday I planned to go and visit my friend. I’m not a social butterfly at the best of times. And prefer my little collection of online friends via Facebook. Lets face it… It costs less. I …

The MADS Blog Awards 2013

Thank you to everyone who nominated my blog for an award. It’s quite exciting really. But there’s quite a few nominated for the category “Best New Blog” which is the one I really wanted to win. Not for the prize – but for the appreciation of my blog. From what I understand the judges have to cut the list down …

Cuddles

As a Grand-Daughter, Daughter, Sister, girlfriend and Mother I know the importance of a cuddle. Cuddles vary. They mean different things depending on who they are between. My Grandad tends to squeeze really hard. “I’m never letting you escape my prickly beard”. My Mum tends to be gentle and warm. “I’ll always be here”. My brother squirms away. “I’m too …

My Beautiful OH

I was really quite nervous about how my OH would be with P2. I’d had such a rough time with P1s biological father. My OH is an amazing Dad to P1 but it still made me nervous about how he’d be with sleepless nights and dirty bottoms. Leading up to the birth we probably spent a lot of time wanting …

Weight Gain Weight Loss

We just had our first visit from the Health Visitor. I always worry about being judged by health visitors or midwives because they know everything thanks to my past with my biological father and P1s biological father. As expected – they both came up in conversation pretty quick. Making sure I had no contact with either – no issue there! …
