Announcing My BritMums Live 2015 Sponsor & Some Changes

In the past week or so I’ve been really focusing on making my blog better. Editing and updating certain pages, making sure I take better images and even adding a little bit of video here and there. I wanted to share some of these changes as I’d like some opinions.

Firstly, I wanted to start by sharing my social media channels with yourselves. I’m big on social media, Twitter and Instagram being my most active at the moment. All of these can be found on the right hand side of any page on the desktop site or if you scroll to the bottom of a page on mobile site. But here they are: TwitterInstagramYouTubePinterestGoogle+Facebook

Don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’ or sign up to have my posts sent directly to your email.

I’ve made a few changes to my review posts and how you can find them easier. On the menu at the top there’s a handy “Reviews” option, this page is one of my favourites at the moment. It shows all the wonderful opportunities we’ve had over the past nearly two years in pictures. A visual reminder of how lucky we are. I’ve removed the ginormous lists that were on the right hand side of each page and it’s been replaced with a click-able image to take you straight to the review section.

I’ve created three little images to go at the bottom of certain posts. I have one for reviews, guest posts and sponsored posts. The intention is that is clearly shows what is what, however, hubby has reminded me that these images won’t be able to be translated to various languages. I love them so much and am gutted I didn’t think of the translation side of things. What do you think I should do? Keep or revert back to my original text disclosures?

review changes

The next changes are like the review page. I’ve edited all of the “Letters” pages to reflect images that can be clicked. Each image will take you to the related post. These pages took me forever but it gave me the chance to get all sentimental looking at how much P1 and P2 have grown. One day these pages are going to be so big and crowded.

changes

Did you notice? The BritMums Live badge?! Proudly displayed on my blog now is the BritMums Live badge, only this time it’s more personal. I’m so excited to announce that I’m being sponsored by Fisher-Price for the 2015 conference. I’m determined that this year I’ll be more confident and start to get to know the lovely bloggers that interact with me daily.

If anyone has any fashion items they’d like me to promote whilst there next June then please contact me. I’ll be taking P3 with me too.

Oh and lastly, I’ve updated my Media Kit. Created a new one because quite frankly the last one was pants. I think I’ve done really well with it and hope it reflects me and my blog. You can download it here or here’s a sneak preview.

  2. All looks good to me and I am no expert at all. Just wanted to say congrats on your Brit Mums sponsor! x x

  3. Sounds like you’ve been busy 🙂 one thing I thought of as I read your media kit was adding links to the pages you refer to (eg review page) so if people wanted to check it out they could without going to your site to find it? #sharewithme

I think that’s my fault with the media kit i created. Its an image rather than a pdf/word doc. However, now im pleased with the actual look of it i’ll have to find time to recreate in word so it can be edited. I realised this after i spent all morning creating it. Thank you!!
